About Us

Welcome to my Online Surgery which will hopefully empower you to solve your grievances both quickly and effectively.

I've attempted to cover as many problems as possible ranging from the the Local Council and Tax issues to obtaining lottery funding.

However: In some instances you may feel that my assistance and intervention is still required:

My role as an MP is to represent all the people in my constituency; not just those who voted for me, whether or not you voted for me or agree with the views of my party.  I am your MP and I am here to help you with all matters for which Parliament or central government is responsible.

Where your problem involves central Government , I have a number of methods available to help:
  • A letter from my office to the relevant department or official will often provide a solution.
  • If not, I may decide to take matters a stage further by writing to the Minister involved, or even making an appointment to see the Minister personally.
  • If there has been maladministration, I may be able to take your case to the Ombudsman.
  • I may be able to raise matters in the House if there is something to be gained by making the matter public.
Parliamentary protocol means that I am only able to take up cases on behalf of my own constituents in Bridgend. For the same reason I can not help with a friend or relative's problem unless they are unable to communicate, and will need their signed consent before taking up the case.
