A LOTTERY FOR THE FUTURE

WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS

ASKS LOCAL MP

Over 70% of adults play the National Lottery on a regular basis, and over £18 billion has so far been raised for good causes.

Madeleine Moon MP said:

“The National Lottery Commission is the regulator and responsible for running the competition process to decide who will operate the Lottery, when the current licence expires in January 2009.  As part of the competition process it is seeking the views of the public on the future of the National Lottery.”

“They have launched an online questionnaire to encourage everyone to have their say on the future of the Lottery.  The questionnaire can be found on their website: www.natlotcomm.gov.uk

Log on to their website and get involved in the process and say what is important to you. The public consultation runs until 31 May 2006 and the online survey is anonymous.

Madeleine added:

“I know how important the Lottery is in funding many local organisations and for that reason I am holding a Funding Event on Friday 28 April 2006 at the YMCA in Bridgend from 12.30 – 2.30pm.  Bridgend does not always gain all of the funding it could from the Lottery so I am hoping lots of organisations will attend to find out how they can seek financial support.”
