Bridgend
MP Madeleine Moon welcomes the good news today that KPC
Youth have been successful in securing funds from the National Lottery.
KPC
Youth has been under threat of possible closure over the last few months because of lack of funding. The funding from the National Lottery secures its future for three years enabling them to move forward
with their major plans for development.
The
project opens 7 days a week and provides the local community with advice
and support for young people . The Computer facilities have helped youngsters develop their skills and the sports facilities
have encouraged fitness and exercise. KPC Youth also help with child care support for many working parents especially in the
evenings and through school holidays, and play a vital role in reducing anti-social
behaviour.
Mrs
Moon said “the excellent work of KPCY with young people is setting an example of excellence in youth work across the
UK, as recognised by the funding awarded today by the National Lottery. “
